About the Author

Lauren Burd’s life changed dramatically January 2009 with a simple New Year’s resolution.  Okay, not really, but it was a big step.  Her resolution was to write a book.  She made this resolution so many times before she’d lost count.  That time it stuck.
Over the next year and a half she worked on her novel while trying to maintain sanity.  Being a wife and mother of two very active children (one boy and one girl), working full time, and going to school full time, it was a hard job to say the least. With the support of her family and friends she managed to do it.
She submitted to a few agents and waited at her inbox with sweaty palms and butterflies in her stomach.  After all this is how it worked, right? While she was waiting to hear from the agents she clicked a link and found about “Indie Authors.”
After much discussion with other writers and her husband she took the plunge September 2010. The first day she sold one book.  Two days later she got her first review. October showed steady growth. In November things took off. She was contacted by Kimberly Whalen and after some questions and answers she accepted her offer of representation. Needless to say it was a whirlwind year.
She is currently working on the second book in the Immortal series (Forever).  She is shooting for a release sometime in early 2010.  There is no set release date at this time, but it will be posted once it becomes available.

  1. Hi Mrs. Burd,

I really enjoyed your Immortal Books, I am just curious when and if the 3rd book will be out soon!! Unfortunately I am one of those people, I read books in a day, I am only halfway through the 2nd book, and i have been searching for the 3rd. i wanted to get a preorder going.
I am really enjoying the books so far!!! I have read some of the other reviews and on some things I agree, mainly the Spelling issues, but I disagree with it being a rip off from Twighlight or the vampire diaries. In any and all romance novels, there is usually a love Triangle and one always wins over the other it's just how it is!!!
I just recently got back into reading in May of 2011. I have read over 250 books, all contacing Vampires/werewolves. I think your books are right up there with the ones that I read!! So please keep writing and please hurry with the third book :-)
